This is just a fun little piece I did for myself. I chose to create the lotus flower because it is perhaps my favorite type of flower. They are very unique and attractive types of flora. For something so beautiful to be able to grow out of the mud of a swamp is really magnificent to me and only helps contributes towards its symbolic meaning. I never modeled a flower before as I usually work on hard surface objects or characters so I thought this would be a fun challenge. I wanted it to be as realistic as I could push it with the knowledge I have.
